Decorating with portraits | Jessica Lee Photography
Hi Moms!!
You save up the money to invest in portraits for your family.  You spend time finding the perfect, coordinating outfits, and a wonderful photographer.  You have the session, and when you receive you digital images you are so in love!  You are so proud of your photos, and share some of them on social media.  A month later…  the session seems like a distant memory. You know that your photos are stored on your computer somewhere, but you see them less and less. Raise your hand if you have been here… or are here now???
I would love to help you decorate your home with your portraits. When your portraits are displayed around your home, its a great reminder of the things that are most important to you. Those precious moments and cute coordinating outfits are beautifully displayed for you to enjoy on a daily basis, and for your guest to see as well! Â Also, don’t forget that you only have a short time with your precious children at the current stage they are in. It’s such a precious treasure to have these periods of life displayed as mementos of your family’s journey together.
So… to get those creative juices flowing, I’ve collected ideas from other moms that will inspire you to get those photos off of your computer and onto your walls! These moments are TOO important and too fleeting not to share.
First up…
I love the small canvases on shelves like Peekaboophotos8 has created… I see a black frame with a tiny matte, brown shelves that can be found at walmart, hobby lobby, etc., Â and clocks (which I love because time flies!)
She also did a Canvas Wall Gallery in her baby’s nursery that is the cutest!

Here is another adorable family wall gallery that you can put ANYWHERE in your home. Over a dresser, in a hallway, in the foyer, in your dining room, over a piano, anywhere!

Lastly, I love this idea too! I’ve seen these frames at Hobby Lobby. (Don’t forget that frames are 50% every other week, so don’t pay full price!).

You could do this with 8×10 prints with matted frames or you could even do square prints. 10×10 prints with matted frames.
Do you love the antlers? Hobby Lobby has plenty of them!
Another fun thing, is the yellow pillows! Â Those pillow grab the little bits of yellow in the photos and ties the entire room together. Â I hope this helps you create grand ideas for your room! Â Please email me at jessica.lee0308@yahoo.com for advice or questions on how to decorate your home with portraits!

I have had the privilege of going through several big life events with the Whitehead family, and this session is no different.  Sweet Colton is turning two, AND will be a  big brother next month!!! I love this family. They are so much fun! It never fails; I spend most of the time laughing during their sessions… 😀 Dad keeps us all laughing. He loves his bride too, and I am so honored to be able to capture that during this session.  I love my job!
